Sparks High School Signature Technology Academy changes for next year

Sparks High School is changing their Signature Academy making it better. Previously Sparks’s Signature Information Technology Academy was based on Microsoft Office Specialist and Microsoft Technology Associate Certifications. Now it’s going to be based on a broader technology focus. The Technology Academy will be adding many more classes.
What are they you ask? • Principles of Business & Marketing • Animation I, II, and III • Web design & Development I, II, and III • Introduction to Manufacturing • Manufacturing technology I, II, and III • Computer-Aided design & drafting I, II, and III Such classes will help students prepare for “High Paying Jobs” in technologies which are in high demand now with the Tesla Motors Gigafactory coming to our area or anywhere else where high tech jobs are in demand.
I’ve been an Academy student for a semester now and I really enjoy being in the Signature Academy. If you are interested in the Technology Academy for next year, please see Mr. Jackson in B2, or Mr. Latorre in B8 for the application.
